The Clean Planet Project

Our aim is to tackle the plastic pollution problem in Indonesia. While there are already many initiatives in places like Bali and in larger cities, smaller communities often lag behind when it comes to setting up sustainable waste systems. Moreover, it is still unclear which solutions and prevention measures are really effective in the long run. This is why Zaida and I started The Clean Planet Project.

We are currently offering two research projects aimed at evaluating and improving waste management in the Moluccas in Indonesia. For this, we are working with two Indonesian NGOs-one local and one specialising in environmental issues. As there is a technical element but also a regulatory element to the projects, it might be of interest to your students.
