UfD-EBN Geo Energy Master Awards
Is your Master thesis applicable to the exploration or exploitation of the (Dutch) deep subsurface? Do not hesitate and hand in your thesis and become a candidate for the best thesis award of €6.500,- .

EBN
This award will be handed out for the second time by the University Fund Delft together with the Dutch company EBN. EBN focuses on investing, developing and sharing knowledge that can be applied in their field of experience. With this award they try to stimulate students to come up with innovative ideas applicable in areas such as exploration and production of conventional gas, unconventional gas, geothermal energy or gas and CO2-storage.

Criteria
The jury will select from all entries on the basis of five criteria:
Originality: the thesis contains new work from the author and brings new insight into the topics discussed
Innovation: the thesis shows (improved) solutions to relevant questions related to the topics discussed
Quality: the thesis is of high quality, the work done according to scientific standards
Applicability of the subject: the subject of the thesis is relevant to the organizer of this award
Social relevance: the thesis or its subject is relevant from the viewpoint of social corporate responsibility

The International Business Tour 2012 is coming closer and will go to Sint Petersburg next year! Underneath, you will find all the information needed for potential participants.

What?
The IBT is a fantastic 7-day trip, in which you visit lots of companies, but where enough time remains for cultural activities and nice parties.
Before the IBT-week, 1 or 2 cases will be organized at different companies. During the week itself we will visit Dutch companies on Monday and Tuesday for case studies, but Tuesday afternoon, we fly to Sint Petersburg! In Sint Petersburg we will at least visit 3 companies, but there will be enough time to get to know the city, drink Rissian vodka, organize cultural activities and have unforgettable parties. TPM-students will broaden their horizon, have a great time abroad and show companies the TPM-skills.
The International Business Tour is a brilliant trip that you just have to join as a Master student!

When?
The IBT will take place from March 19th until March 25th.

Who?
The IBT is open to all Master students. 22 students will be selected to join the tour.

Costs?
The costs will be around 300 euro. With that money your ticket to Sint Petersburg is paid, hotels in Russia, an IBT-cap and maybe even and IBT-jacket for all participants. Dependant from the amount of money we receive from the companies we visit, the food during the drip will also be arranged.

How?
Subscribing for the IBT is possible until December 20th 2011! Send your motivational letter (1 A4) ,your resume and a copy of your passport (valid until October 1st 2012) to Dit e-mailadres is beschermd tegen spambots.
